Honduras Mission UpdateTestimony from Dr Tan, Honduras Mission Team Leader My family has visited and served there twice. I hope to bring a team from CBCOC this summer to serve for 7-10 days. We can do medical/dental brigades into the mountains, group and personal evangelism, maybe some construction. There are many opportunities for ministry depending on the gifts of the team members. Just our presence, I think, will be of great encouragement to the American and Honduran missionaries working there. |
Medical Missions to HondurasHospital Bautista in Guiamaca, Honduras was built by American missionaries Sandy and JoAnne Cheves in 2003. They have gather a group of dedicated Christian Honduran doctors and staff to serve the medical needs of the region, with the main goal of reaching the local people for Christ. They are seeing almost 200 patients a day and has plans to eventually admit patients and perform major surgeries in the hospital. In addition, they are doing a great job of supporting the local churches, as well as planting churches in the surrounding mountain villages. Other important ministries include Pastors' Training, a Day Care Center, and Feeding/Evangelism program.
