CBCOC RSS Web Feeds

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and is used to publish constantly updated content such as news updates, blogs, or podcasts. Instead of users having to manually access and search through a website for certain information, the user can subscribe to an RSS/XML "web feed," "feed," or "channel" in which updates from the website are sent directly to the user. The user can see an overview of each of the updates and click on the links that take them directly to the page on the website with the information they're looking for.

Users can subsricbe to feeds and read them using a software called a feed reader or news reading program. Several programs that can be used to read XML/RSS news feeds are Mozilla Thunderbird, Google Reader, the latest Internet Explorer 7.

To subscribe to a web feed, click on one of the links below and copy the URL to your reading program and/or click on the subscribe button on your reading program after accessing the feed.
